RSHE at North Wootton Academy

Always evolving with statutory guidance and global and local issues, we tailor RSHE, alongside PSHE, to the needs of our children at NWA. It is embedded as 'The Golden Thread' that entwines our whole school curriculum.

RSHE Overview Key Knowledge Areas

The sections marked in blue are not prescribed within the statutory curriculum but form key building blocks for statutory elements and support with wider safeguarding duties and DfE statements of best practice. It is for individual schools to determine if these are elements that parents may exercise a right to excuse their child from, consulting with and informing parents as appropriate.
